Welfare to Work
CSET operates a Welfare-to-Work program in Visalia, Tulare, Porterville and surrounding areas. The program is designed to help individuals who are receiving Cash Aid Welfare to find and maintain stable employment and ultimately become self-sufficient.
The program begins with an intensive week of job readiness training. Career Coaches and Job Developers meet with participants to create a resume, improve interview skills, learn about proper behavior in work settings and much more. The rest of the time in the program is spent eliminating barriers to employment, reinforcing job readiness and job searching. CSET staff is there every step of the way to provide assistance.
