The First-Time Home Buyer Program may assist low-income households purchasing their first home. The program also provides education to help guide participants through the homeownership process.

Before taking this important step, preparation is key. To help you get ready and make the most of available loan and assistance programs, we encourage you to attend a free First-Time Home Buyer Education Workshop.

Our workshops cover topics such as home selection, working with realtors and lenders, loan programs, homeownership responsibilities, saving for a down payment, and more. Many homebuyer assistance programs require completion of this type of education as part of eligibility. Participants receive a certificate upon completion.
