EMPLOYMENT SERVICES FOR VETERANS
On-site Veterans Services Advisor Chuck Gunsolus provides a range of services to Veterans through the Tulare County Employment Connection.
Services include on-the-job training, vocational training, résumé and cover letter assistance, interviewing skills assistance, computer-based skill level assessment, and ongoing seminars to strengthen job search skills. Additional assistance may include referrals to other community agencies and resources as needed.
Veterans are Priority of Service qualified.
Interesting Fact about California Veterans:
Approximately 2.2 million veterans in California. (Roughly 9% of nation’s veterans).
Tulare County has approximately 18,000 veterans. We have a 15% unemployment rate with a 23.4% Veteran unemployment rate.

GET BACK TO WORK
The Back2Work program offers paid transitional employment opportunities to underserved adults. This second chance program helps participants develop valuable work history, employment soft skills, paid job training, and much more. Veterans have priority enrollment.

Chapter 8 Protection of Workers and OSHA safety standards
Litter abatement and debris removal along highways
Plant natural vegetation and remove unwanted brush and trees
Paint over and remove graffiti
Plant restoration and general yard-work in landscaped areas
