Become a VITA volunteer!

We are seeking dedicated volunteers like yourself to provide valuable assistance to families in Tulare County by offering free tax preparation services. By working together, we can assist local families to kickstart their savings, minimize their tax burdens, and boost their tax refunds!

No previous experience is required to become a VITA volunteer.

As part of a network of volunteers serving low-income communities across the country, you will play a crucial role in delivering tax preparation services. Your support will help inform Tulare County families about eligible cash-back tax credits, including the state and federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Whether you're a retired financial professional or an individual exploring a career in the finance industry, your participation as a volunteer would be highly valuable.

During tax season, bilingual volunteers are particularly in high demand as the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) has expanded its eligibility to immigrant ITIN filers with young children.
