Community Services Employment Training Celebrates 46 Years of Community Action in Tulare County

[Tulare County, CA] In celebration of May as Community Action Month, Community Services Employment Training (CSET) is showcasing its impact to the community by highlighting participant success stories, impactful numbers, and honoring its employees of the year. As the Community Action Agency in Tulare County, CSET addresses the developing needs of individuals, youth, and families living in poverty. Annually, CSET serves more than 11,000 local residents through a variety of services including job training, financial strengthening, housing, food insecurity, utility assistance, family services, and much more.

In Tulare County, 23.8% of the entire county's population lives at or below the poverty level (American Community Survey, 2019). “CSET is honored to play a critical role in assisting and supporting families to connect with integral resources,” shared Mary Alice Escarsega-Fechner, CSET’s Executive Director. “Thank you to our Board of Directors and our partners for your ongoing commitment and support of our mission.”
